Review Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

“On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy’s diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media—as well as Amy’s fiercely doting parents—the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he’s definitely bitter—but is he really a killer?” (Goodreads)

Why did i waited so long before reading this book? It was amazing.
It was a fun read with a lot of omg moments. You start off thinking the book is going one way, but before you can even realize what is happening, it’s going in an entire other direction. It did something i did not expected and it did it very well. I just wanted to check out the ending and see how Nick was going to end up. It’s a dark story and a good mystery. I loved it. The writing was good. The characters were interesting and very human, they do mistakes, they are not perfect.
Now i really want to check out more of her books. A lot of people told me Gone Girl was not even her best novel, so i can’t wait to read them. I’m also super excited about the movie, hopefully it’s going to be good.

Gone Girl – 4/5
