Review: american psycho by Bret Easton Ellis

“Patrick Bateman is handsome, well educated, intelligent. He works by day on Wall Street earning a fortune to complement the one he was born with. His nights he spends in ways we cannot begin to fathom. He is twenty-six years old and living his own American Dream.”

I’m not to sure how to explain how i feel about this book. I didn’t know much about it. I knew it was about a psychopath.
What i didn’t knew was how extremely graphic and violent. I was okay with it, but it was a shock. It’s very disturbing. The character is such a huge misogynist. He’s a sociopath, unmoved by what he does. He’s actually a very interesting character, but it is impossible to connect with him.
Overall, i found this book to be a bit dull. Even with all the violence and the sex, i ended up being bored during some parts.

American Psycho : 2.5/5
