Review : Scarlet (the Lunar Chronicles #2) by Marrissa Meyer

“Cinder is back and trying to break out of prison—even though she’ll be the Commonwealth’s most wanted fugitive if she does. Halfway around the world, Scarlet Benoit’s grandmother is missing. It turns out there are many things Scarlet doesn’t know about her grandmother, or the grave danger she has lived in her whole life. When Scarlet encounters Wolf, a street fighter who may have information as to her grandmother’s whereabouts, she is loath to trust this stranger, but is inexplicably drawn to him, and he to her. As Scarlet and Wolf unravel one mystery, they encounter another when they meet Cinder. Now, all of them must stay one step ahead of the vicious Lunar Queen Levana.” (goodreads)

yes, yes and yes again. Scarlet is an AMAZING sequel.
first, those characters are simply perfect. Cinder is back and she’s her awesome self. She is trying her best to deal with everything. This book gives us 3 new awesome characters. Captain Thorne is hilarious. I think that without him, this book would’ve only been half as good. He adds so much humor to the story and he has some very funny quotes. Scarlet is our second main girl, smart, loyal and so very brave. she’ll do everything she can to save the people she love. She stands up for other and never judge without having all the facts. Scarlet is a great heroine. And Wolf. oh, i have a very big crush on Wolf. He’s mysterious and very intersting. He’s a beautiful mix of strenght and cuteness. The way he protects Scarlet and how easily he get embarrassed makes my heart melt. All three of them seriously improved this already good series. The world-building is amazing. This universe is so interesting and Meyer’s writing really brings it alive. The story is very fun and full a great moments and action.
The Lunar Chronicles is such a fascinating series and i highly recommend it if you like well-written characters, sci-fi, fairytale retelling and good stories.

Scarlet : 4.5/5

I absolutely love this book!! It’s sooo good! The whole series is fantastic, but this is my favorite book. I love little red riding hood tellings. And obviously I adore Wolf as well! How could you not?!? I do love how they are together. Le sigh
