11 stories about the one and only Magnus Bane, i was so excited.
But i really didn’t enjoy this book as much as i thought i would. I found the stories to be boring. The don’t really tell us much about Magnus, they just repeated the things we already knew about him. Most of them were just ok, i even skipped some parts because i was bored. Nothing was happening and i felt like i was wasting my time.
Magnus is still a great character. I really like him. He is original and bring so much to the series. He’s funny and interesting, but in this book, he didn’t sound completely like himself. He was judgmental and i didn’t enjoy that part of him. It was nice to see some of the characters from TMI and TID. The writing was okay in some stories, dull in others.

i’m not gonna lie, i really wanted to give up… this book could’ve been so freaking epic. With a character like Magnus Bane and the world created by Cassandra Clare, the possibilities were endless, but The Bane Chronicles are all about random things happening in Magnus life and none of them brings something to the character.

The Bane Chronicles : 2.5/5
