Review : A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas

“When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin—one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world.
As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she’s been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow grows over the faerie lands, and Feyre must find a way to stop it . . . or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.”

This is the second time this month that Sarah J. Maas punches me in the face with pure perfection.

because yes, everything about this book was amazing.

characters? Amazing

Storyline? Amazing

Writing? Amazing

Ending? Amazing

There is absolutely no flaws in this book. I was so hooked in to this book, i just couldn’t put it down and even at the end, all i could do was to wish for more. I love the whole fairytale retelling, it was interesting and really well-done, but it was also so much more. I was surprised by all the twists and turns that the story took. The characters are so much fun. Feyre is a great main character, she is so strong and i admire her so much. The way she takes care of her family even if they don’t really care at first made her one of the most incredible character i have ever read about. I really, really, really like her. Maas knows how to create fantastic female character. Tamlin was perfect too. I  like how he acts and think. Plus, the tension between these two was so strong. I love them together. I adored pretty much every characters, even the vilains were pretty cool. and, obviously, the writing is wonderful. The way Maas describes Tamlin’s world was so beautiful, i could easily see it all. The setting is gorgeous and Maas description brings it to live in a magical way.

So, all you have to do now is go read this book, because it’s now one of my favorite and i would sell my soul for the next one.
