“Anya could really use a friend. But her new BFF isn’t kidding about the “forever” part . . .
Of all the things Anya expected to find at the bottom of an old well, a new friend was not one of them. Especially not a new friend who’s been dead for a century.
Falling down a well is bad enough, but Anya’s normal life might actually be worse. She’s embarrassed by her family, self-conscious about her body, and she’s pretty much given up on fitting in at school. A new friend—even a ghost—is just what she needs.
Or so she thinks.”
This short graphic novel was enjoyable, but not really what I was hoping for. I did like it, without really loving it. Overall, i feel like i will fast forget about it. The artwork is great. the colors scheme is beautiful ; gray, black, white and purple really add a great ambiance to the whole story. The storyline was okay. I did enjoy that mystery aspect of it, but i really wanted it to be a bit more creepy. I really dislike Anya’s character…She was very hypocritical. She kept saying how awful her life was when really she was the one making it that bad. She has a great family and a friend who’s actually not that bad, but Anya just don’t see it. i was hoping that she would grow on ne, but she didn’t. I still disliked her at the end. I did like the ghost, she was fun.
So, yup, this was an okay book to me. the story enjoyable but left me without any feelings for it.
