Review : The Fray Theory : Resonance by Nelou Keramati

“Neve Knightly lives in an ordinary world. Where déjà vu is nothing more than a mind-trick. Where premonitions are dismissed as mere coincidence. Where no one thinks twice about the glitches in their reality.

Neve Knightly is living a lie. But when her nightmare of a tragedy comes true the very next day, she can no longer seek solace in self-deception. The glossy enamel has been shattered, and she has caught a glimpse of what slithers just beneath the surface.

She now has the opportunity to decipher the enigma that’s been haunting her since childhood. But her quest soon becomes deeply entangled with the last two people she could have ever imagined: the love of her life, Dylan, who mysteriously vanished three years ago, and his estranged best friend, Romer, who seems to be guarding a secret of his own.

Romance, rancor, and redemption plummet as priorities, as their lives become riddled with peculiar happenings lying just outside the realm of science. And in search for salvation, they emerge at the brink of unveiling the best-kept secret in human history. ”

Omg guys, i have so much love for this book. I can’t even think right now, all i want to say is : OMG. Seriously, this was such an interesting story. I love the whole idea of the theories and i didn’t guess where the story was about to take me. The mystery was extremely well-done and the story was fast-paced. I knew after finishing the first chapter that i’d have a hard time putting this book down. The writing was beautiful and it just sucked me in from the start. It was such an epic first chapter, what a way to get your reader’s attention! After that, all i wanted to do is find out what the hell was happening. The ending made me SUPER excited for the sequel, i just can’t wait to learn more about the Reaper. I also can’t wait to see our 3 main characters work together. It’s going to be so great. The characters in this book are just so damn amazing. Neve was perfect. Strong, smart, very human too. I love the fact that she doesn’t become a stupid little girl in love when Dylan gets back in her life. Probably one of my mew favorite female character. Dylan was such and interesting protagonist. i loved trying to figure out what was happening with him, and after everything we learn, i just wanted more Dylan in my life. Romer is my favorite. (i think, seriously, i love them all so freaking much). He’s the bad boy with a broken aspect type of character, but he is also so much more. The writer gave him so many intriguing layers, it was always a fascinating ride to read his chapters. Intense and funny, but also vulnerable in his own way. Together they make one of the most interesting cast of characters i have read about in a while. Their backstories are so rich, well-done and captivating, giving them all alot of personality and depth. Having 3 POVs really help too, i love all of them and seeing them interact. They all have their very own voice. The only little thing i didn’t enjoy much is the possible love triangle that seem to be starting, BUT I think maybe the bromance may win in this case. Dylan and Romer’s friendship is one of those really strong one and i can’t wait to see more of it.

This book surprised me im every possible ways and completely exceeded my expectation. The only think i can say now is READ THIS BOOK.

The Fray Theory #1 : 4.5/4

Review : Amy and Roger’s epic detour by Morgan Matson

“Amy Curry is not looking forward to her summer. Her mother decided to move across the country and now it’s Amy’s responsibility to get their car from California to Connecticut. The only problem is, since her father died in a car accident, she isn’t ready to get behind the wheel. Enter Roger. An old family friend, he also has to make the cross-country trip – and has plenty of baggage of his own. The road home may be unfamiliar – especially with their friendship venturing into uncharted territory – but together, Amy and Roger will figure out how to map their way”

I love this book. Guys, I LOVE THIS BOOK. Everything between the first and the last book was simply perfect. If you are looking for the most amazing, fun, emotional and just fantastic summer read, this one is for you. The whole roadtrip vibe is extremely well done and men did it made me want to jump in a car and go. That’s one thing i love about Matson, she makes me want to go on some fun adventures. The characters were also very interesting. Amy is such a great main character. She’s vulnerable and sad, but also ready to jump into some new things. I love how she just decides to take the detour and really goes for it. Her character goes through so many changes, by the end, she is a new girl. Roger is the perfect love interest. Oh how i love him. He was so kind and sweet, i just love him so much. The side characters were also really fun. I like Bronwyn, she was so great. I feel like she really helped Amy by taking away her camouflage and giving her some confidence. An other thing i love about this book is all the little things in it, like the playlist and the pictures, it adds such a great vibe to the book.

Morgan Matson is a queen of summer book, if you haven’t picked up one of her book yet, now would be a great time.

The one with the mood.

img_6530

Dear Monday,

Today I want to talk about mood. Not only the emotional type, but also the mood we can give to our days. A bit like how rain can change how we feel on some days. Because if something as simple as rain can affect our way of seeing the day, surely we can do a couple of things to make everyday a Good mood day. That’s my new goal. Make everyday better with some little changes. This all started when at least 3 persons told me I looked much happier these days. and it’s true, now that I know I won’t be stuck in this crappy job for much longer, i’m feeling so much better. So, I started thinking about all the other things that puts me in a good mood. The fact that’s summer. My favorite songs. Eating cake for breakfast. Going for a run. Dancing in the kitchen. Chocolate. Planning trips i’ll maybe or maybe not take one day. Get lost in a bookstore. Find interesting people. Drawing. Acoustic music. Bookstagram.
It’s just a couple of little things, Monday. Things I do almost everyday and they make me happy. They can change my mood in a second. Those little things are important and the more I think about it, the more I add things on the list. Life should be spend in a good mood as much as possible, I think.

Do more of what makes you happy

Yours Truly,
Sarah.

Review : Dreamology by Lucy Keating

“For as long as Alice can remember, she has dreamed of Max. Together they have traveled the world and fallen deliriously, hopelessly in love. Max is the boy of her dreams—and only her dreams. Because he doesn’t exist.

But when Alice walks into class on her first day at a new school, there he is. It turns out, though, that Real Max is nothing like Dream Max, and getting to know each other in reality isn’t as perfect as Alice always hoped.
When their dreams start to bleed dangerously into their waking hours, the pair realize that they might have to put an end to a lifetime of dreaming about each other. But when you fall in love in your dreams, can reality ever be enough? ”

First thing : THAT COVER IS GORGEOUS.

The story was so fun. So cute and adorable. The romance was obviously at the center of it, an it’s a good one. It was well-executed, all i wanted to do was “awhhh”. I didn’t like the fact that there was cheating included in this. Celeste was such a nice girl, she didn’t deserve that. That’s an other thing about this book, the side characters are all so great! Oliver was my favorite, he needs his own book! I would read that! My favorite part was the whole dream aspect, it was so fun! I love seeing Alice and Max’s dreams, it was such an interesting idea.  They were both great characters. I really like Alice, she was so nice and fun to follow. Max was okay, some parts did annoyed me. He spends a good part of the story not knowing what he wants. I want to be with you Alice. I don’t want to be with you Alice. i get that the situation is a bit complicated, but still, it kind of annoyed me a little. The ending was great and lovely. Made me smiled. The writing was fantastic. Witty and funny. I just can’t wait for more by this writer.

Overall, i have to say that this book was fantastic. I couldn’t put it down and i would have love more of it. Such an interesting and original contemporary.

The one when I quit.

img_6530

Dear Monday,

Remember last week when I said I was hoping that something interesting was going to happen this week so i’d have some interesting stuff to tell you, well…. I quit my job this week. I’ve been working at a deli counter for almost 4 years now and I freaking quit. You have no idea how paralyzed and scared I felt. Saying the words outloud to my boss made me nervous. The not knowing part of what’s going to happened next is freaking me out too. That’s a lot of  strong emotions in such a short week.
It’s not like I have no plan. I do have a new job starting up in 10 days in a coffeeshop. There’s a lot of reasons why I wanted a new job. I made a list of everything that needed to be change in my life, my job being at the top of it. I had a good time at the deli counter, but lately I’ve been feeling like crap everytime I walked in there. That’s when you know you need something new. The coffeeshop is going to be good for me, I hope. Evenings and weekends off every week, i’ll have a life back. This should be fun.
Changes are scary, but I think changes can be good. I think this will be a great new adventure, and don’t worry Monday, i’ll tell you all about it.

Yours truly,
Sarah.
