Review : Fans of the impossible life by Kate Scelsa

“Mira is starting over at Saint Francis Prep. She promised her parents she would at least try to pretend that she could act like a functioning human this time, not a girl who can’t get out of bed for days on end, who only feels awake when she’s with Sebby.

Jeremy is the painfully shy art nerd at Saint Francis who’s been in self-imposed isolation after an incident that ruined his last year of school. When he sees Sebby for the first time across the school lawn, it’s as if he’s been expecting this blond, lanky boy with mischief glinting in his eye.
Sebby, Mira’s gay best friend, is a boy who seems to carry sunlight around with him. Even as life in his foster home starts to take its toll, Sebby and Mira together craft a world of magic rituals and impromptu road trips, designed to fix the broken parts of their lives.
As Jeremy finds himself drawn into Sebby and Mira’s world, he begins to understand the secrets that they hide in order to protect themselves, to keep each other safe from those who don’t understand their quest to live for the impossible. ”

I was expecting a love triangle. I was expecting a cute little love story. i was expecting so many little thing, but men, i was wrong. There is a love triangle, but it’s a weird one. A strange and perfect mix of love and friendship and the fact that they all just need eachother to survive. The storyline was way more than just that, more than just a romance. Actually, i the tomance is not even the main thing.  it’s mostly about friend and feelings, how life can get a bit messy sometimes. i loved it. This book was fantastic. The characters were sooooo lovable. I wanted to hug them all, tell them it was gonna be okay. i wanted to hold Mira’s hand when her mind wasn’t a good place. i wanted to punch everybody who would be mean to Jeremy. I wanted to help Sebby, i wanted to save him, make it all okay. i was not expecting to care so much. i liked the wrting. each character had his own voice. The only thing that I really dislike was the ending. we had no resolution, it was like the story just stopped. i really wanted to see just a little bit more and feel like i actually had some kind of conclusion. i can’t accept that it just ends that way.

Overall, great book but really not a good ending for me.

Everything you need for the perfect Autumn.

Hello readers, happy first day of Autumn!

For a long time, summer was my favorite season. I was off school for two months with nothing to do but hangout by the pool with my friends and spend my nights watching movies. Life was good. but growing up, i discover a new favorite time of the year and it’s autumn. The colder weather, the colors in the trees, the cozy sweaters and warm drinks. Halloween and pumpkin latte. I love it. Love everything about this season.
In today’s post, i decided to share with you some little essentials to make autumn even better. Books to read, movies to watch and accessories to buy. Enjoy.

Aelin’s journey from assassin to queen has entranced millions across the globe, and this fifth installment will leave fans breathless. Will Aelin succeed in keeping her world from splintering, or will it all come crashing down?”
Okay, i’ll make this short and sweet because there’s not much to add. I’ve reviewed all the books of series so far and i always only have good things to say. Same goes for this one here. Amazing. Just fantastic, I absolutely LOVE this series. The characters are incredible and their development is so well-done. It’s crazy when you think of them in book one, how much they have grown. Again, epic storyline. So many things are happening, not one boring second. The ending left me craving more, can’t believe we have to wait so long. Maas really know how to end her books with a boom. Her writing is simply perfect, as always. The only bad thing about this book is the missing Chaol. I NEEDED TO SEE MY BOOK BOYFRIEND AND I’M PISSED I DIDN’T…….bur other than that, Empire of Storms was a great sequel.

We are only one book away from the conclusion, i’m not ready to say bye but i’m excited to see how it all ends.

Review : Something (Wisteria # 1 ) by Shelby Lamb

“ill find true love and everything will be okay. I will find true love and everything will be okay…” she chanted.
They say be careful what you read. Something is wrong. Something is very wrong. It can happen to anyone. This is just four teenagers’ story. Aubrey Golding hates her face, her body, and is devastated after Nathan Silva leaves her. Alone, suicidal, and desperate for love, she discovers a book called Something and unknowingly links others to a dark and terrifying curse that is beginning to consume her. Nathan is glad to be moving on with someone new and can hardly believe what is happening now. Wild child and amateur porn star, Bella Broadhurst, loves bullying that “emo whore” Aubrey with the other girls, but mostly she loves partying, hookups, and plain ol’ drama when terror arises. And Kendra Coke is just a new teen mother working on a delicate relationship when things start becoming utterly bizarre. Chilling sleep disturbances and figures hiding in the corners of their rooms are just warnings of what is to come. Be careful what you read, they say. Tread carefully. ”

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book comes out in March 2017

Something was a crazy ride. I felt mentaly exhausting after finishing this book. There’s so many things going on, but it worked for me. I really enjoyed this book. I’m not gonna lie, if you are looking for a full on scary read, this one may not be the best choice. It’s a bit slow, even if it had some very good creepy parts, but there is also, alot of drama. the horror aspect is sometimes killed off by the drama, but it works well as a build up. The more you read, the more the horror aspect takes its place. I think the storyline was fun, i really like the whole idea of the cursed book and what he does to people. I’m actualy really interested to see how this series will turn out. The ending made me excited for book 2! Like I said, this book has alot of drama and it touches alot of themes. From broken heart, to self-harm, to porn and teen-mom and so much more…told you, crazy ride. Not for everybody, it’s an extremely dark book, not only because of the horror but mostly because of the psychological aspect of it all. We have such a big dysfunctional cast of characters, all with their own troubles. Very interesting mix. The characters were fun enough to follow. They all have their personal voices which is important to me when we have many POVs. The writing style was good and fits well this genre.

Overall, i loved that book and i’m excited to see what will happen next. I can easily see why some people wouldn’t like it, it’s not for everybody, but for me, this was a great read.

Something : 4/5

The one when i love my apartement.

Dear Monday,

Late last night I got back home from a 4 days trip to Toronto and i just couldn’t be happier. I loved my time over there, loved every minutes of it, but gosh did i missed my home. I missed sleeping in my own bed in my room full of books. I missed the sounds of the place, the cars, the neighbours, the weird little noises. I missed the fact that know exactly where the closest coffeeshop is and where to go if I needed something. I missed my TV and all my video games. I missed knowing my way in the dark without problems. I even missed the smell of my home, so much more personal than a hotel room.

I’m going to spend the day home, enjoying everything i missed over the past few days.

There’s no place like home.

Yours truly,

Sarah.

Review : If You Feel Too Much by Jamie Tworkowski

I don’t want to call this a review because i just can’t review it the same way i would a fiction. That book was exactly what i needed and I think that’s why i loved it so much. Maybe if i read it a couple months back, this 5/5 book would’ve been a 3 or a 4 for me, who knows…but right now, in my current state of mind, in my current way of being, of living, all i can say was that it was amazing, emotional, and full of hope. i’m still not over it. Some people just really know how to inspired people with their words.

So, for me, this book was perfect. But i really think reading this book is a personal thing. The rating will depend on how you feel when you open up the book and what you are looking for when you do it.
