“Alex’s father recently died in a car accident. And on the night of his funeral, her best friend Becca slept with Alex’s boyfriend. So things aren’t great. Alex steps away from her friendship with Becca and focuses on her family. But when Alex finally decides to forgive Becca, she finds out something that will change her world again—Becca has cancer.
So what do you do when your best friend has cancer? You help her shave her head. And then you take her bucket list and try to fulfill it on her behalf. Because if that’s all you can do to help your ailing friend—you do it. ”
I have a very mix relationship with this writer, so when i picked up this book, i wasn’t so sure what would happened. But i really enjoyed it. I found it fun and entertaining. It was a super quick read too. The storyline was interesting enough to follow. i have to say i wasn’t a big fan of the romance, but i didn’t dislike it enough to stop me from reading it. I just found it a bit, i don’t know, easy at the start?! Maybe it’s just me, it alot more graphic than what i’m used to with YA which i think was actually a good thing. Added something more to the story. The whole “Fuck it list” aspect was great, i love a good bucket list storyline. Add a strong friendship and some great characters and i am sold. Alex was awesome. She is strong, fun and a horror movie fan. To which i could related. I love her humour and her personality. I just really enjoyed her in general.
Overall, i had a great time reading this short little book.
