Review : Re:Zero (Vol. 1@2) by Tappei Nagatsuki

Subaru Natsuki was just trying to get to the convenience store but wound up summoned to another world. He encounters the usual things–life-threatening situations, silver haired beauties, cat fairies–you know, normal stuff. All that would be bad enough, but he’s also gained the most inconvenient magical ability of all–time travel, but he’s got to die to use it. How do you repay someone who saved your life when all you can do is die?

Quick little post to talk about the first two volumes of this series. I know the anime is a very popular one, but i was never really drawn to it. My best friend loves it, so when she bought this babies, i decided to finally check out what all the hype was about. I enjoyed it. I think this was a fun beginning. Alot more gore than i expected, which was great. I love when stories have a darker aspect. I think the idea was overall  very interesting, i’m not blown away by it, but i’m curious to see where it will go. I have only read two volumes, so my opinion of the characters so far is very meh. None of them really grabbed my full attention, but i didn’t hate them so guess we will have to see once i’m more into the series.

For a start, this series seems good without it being absolutely incredible, i’ll be reading the next volumes, still don’t think i’d be checking out the anime anytime soon. But hey, who knows, maybe i’ll fall madly in love with the rest of it.
