Meet the bookstagrammer tag.

Hello World, it’s tag time! woot woot, haven’t done one in a little while. This one is from instagram (#meetthebookstagrammer2)  but i liked the questions enough to put it on the blog instead.

My Instagram is @ZombiieeX if you are interested in checking out my book pictures.

1) Where would you like to live?

In a big city. New York or London would be my top pick, but i also have a soft spot for Toronto.

2) Did you plan your instagram account to be bookstagram?

oh no xD It started with some random pictures, but i never really used it at the time. When i posted my first book picture, i had no idea what bookstagram was. I just wanted to take a picture of what i was reading, i keep doing that and now i couldn’t go a day without checking out instagram and my bookish people.

3) What is your dream job?

Writer was always the goal. Telling story is just something i love doing and i hope one day it become my job.

4) Which authors (dead or Alive) would you like to meet?

JK Rolling is the obvious answer here, i’d like to say thank you for creating such an important part of my world. I’d love to also meet Victoria Schwab and Edgar Allan Poe.

5) What is your favorite place you traveled to?

New York all the way. Such a fun and entertaining city. Also, there’s Broadway, so i’m in love.

6) Favorite adaptation?

Soooo hard to just pick one. I’m easily pleased when it comes to book to movie adaptations. Again, the obvious answer here would be Harry potter because i LOVE the movies. But i’m gonna mention the Me Before You movie that just hits me in the feels everytime. great adaptation, perfect cast, AWESOME soundtrack.

7) Happy place/food/song?

omg. i could write a full blog post with just this question, but if i had to pick just one of each i’d say : Planetarium, chocolate and the Elephant Love Medley from the Moulin Rouge soundtrack.

8) If you got stuck on an island with 3 fictional characters, who would it be?

oh god, i’m not sure if i’m suppose to pick characters who’d be useful, but i’m going with people i’d love to meet : Jem from TID because BOOKBOYFRIEND, Delilah Bard from ADSOM because she’d be freaking entertaining and awesome, and i think i’ll pick Jesper from Six of Crows, but i’d accept any characters of this series. Jesper is just one of my favorite.

That’s was the #meetthebookstagrammer2, you can do it over on instagram.

Coffee book tag.

1. Black: Name a series that’s tough to get into but has hardcore fans.
Ummmmmmmmmm, that’s actually really hard to answer. I’m going to say the Shatter Me series, because at first the writing style can be a bit of a surprise and I know a lot of people are not a big fan of this style. But those who love this series do it with a lot of passion. I am one of them, I love this series.

2. Peppermint mocha: Name a book that gets more popular during the winter or a festive time of year.
Other than all the Christmas books, i’d have to say the Harry Potter series. For me, the winter season is PERFECT for a reread of this series.

3. Hot chocolate: What is your favorite children’s book?
I wasn’t a big reader when I was a kid, but I used to love the Goosebumps books by R. L. Stine, I always love horror stories, even when I was a kid.

4. Double shot of espresso: Name a book that kept you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
I’m going with The Court of Mist and Fury, because wow, this book got my attention from the start and i’m still thinking about it today. Such a great book, impossible to put down.

5. Starbucks: Name a book you see everywhere.
Lately, i’d say i’m seeing the entire Raven Cycle series all over the bookstagram world. Which I have absolutely no problems with. I love this series. You should all read it.

6. That hipster coffee shop: Give a book by an indie author a shoutout
Afterimage by J. Kowallis, such an incredible series that needs a lot more hype.

7. Oops! I accidentally got decaf: Name a book you were expecting more from.
The last book I read was Survive The Night, it was such a disappointment, I was hoping for so much more from this horror YA.

8. The perfect blend: Name a book or series that was both bitter and sweet but ultimately satisfying.
I’m going with The Infernal Device from Cassandra Clare. This trilogy broke my heart many times, I cried, I got mad, I got sad, but damn, the pain was worth it. SUCH AN INCREDIBLE SERIES. Also, Jem. Always Jem. He’s the best thing in the world.

That was the coffee book tag, hope you enjoy!

Helloooooo book reading friends, how are you all doing on this beautiful Friday? In today’s blog post, i’m doing the Epic Reads tag (X) 😀

1. If you could invite one author and one of their fictional characters to tea, who would you invite and what would you serve them?

I think i’d like to take J.K. Rowling and Ron Weasley out in some kind of sweet shop where we could eat everything we wanted. How awesome would that be?

2. What book do you wish the author would write a prequel for?

I’d like a prequel of A Darker Shade of Magic, I think it would be great too see what the characters were up too before. Seeing more of Kell’s travels and Lila’s life. I also think a prequel for Carry On would be awesome. Since that book happens in their last year at the magic school, I would LOVE to read about their first years and how Baz and Simon were before.

3. Which two characters (NOT from the same book) do you think would make a good couple?

ohhhh, let me think. I would LOVE to see Thorne from The Lunar Chronicles with Jesper from Six of Crows. That would be an epic couple full of perfection. Also, their interactions would be kind of fantastic.

4. If you ran into your favorite author on the subway and only could say one sentence to them, who is it and what would it be?

omg. One sentence……. so, probably something like : Hello Miss Schwab, your books are absolutely perfect, please teach me how you do your magic…..and than i’ll give her a high five or something.

5. What book made you a reader and why?

Harry Potter, OBVIOUSLY. It’s the book that made me love reading, I used to hate it before…hate it…*cries in the corner of her room*

6. Incendio! Your bookshelf just caught on fire! Show us the one book you save.

I’ll just burn with my books……but, I guess if I had to pick ONE book, i’d have to go with Edgar Allan Poe’s stories and poems…..but my heart would be broken in 1000000 pieces.

7. Which dystopian world would you want to live in if you had to choose one? Why?

Ummmm, none, please? Dystopian worlds are awful!

8. What is your most epic read of all time?

Harry Potter obviously, but other than that I have to say that i’m still buzzing from reading Six Of Crows. It was so amazing, I’ll never stop talking about it! Please read this book.

That was the Epic book tag, hope you enjoyed! 😀

The Would You Rather Tag

Hello booklovers, today I am doing the Would You Rather Tag. 😀 Hope you enjoy!

Would you rather read trilogies or stand-alones?

Ummmm, I would have to go with trilogies, only because I’d get to see more of the characters I love. I would have more time to fall in love with them.

Would you rather read only male or female authors?

I can’t pick only one!!! O.O But if I had too, I would have to say female, but only because of J.K. Rowling, Cassandra Clare, V. E. Schwab, Colleen Hoover, Laini Taylor, Rainbow Rowell, Sarah J. Maas, Marie Lu, etc….but how awful would it be to stop reading my favorite male authors? I can’t do that! :O

Would you rather shop at Barnes & Noble or Amazon?

Well, there is no Barnes and Noble in Montreal, but if I had to pick between bookstore and online shopping, i’d go with bookstore because that’s my happy place. That’s where I go when I need quiet and peace and alone time. Nothing beats the feeling of walking into a bookstore and seeing all the possible adventures waiting for me.

Would you rather books were made into TV shows or movies?

TV Show, because there is more time. Instead of 1 movie of 2hrs, you get like 22 episodes of 1h. ♥

Would you rather read only 5 pages per day or 5 books per week?

oh, 5 books a weeks. I can’t survive with only 5 pages per day!

Would you rather be a professional author or reviewer?

I think I would enjoy both very much, but being author is my dream. So that’s an easy pick, professional author.

Would you rather be a librarian or a book seller?

In both case you get to talk about books and give recommendation, but I think I would rather be a book seller. I think. But hey, give me any job related to books and i’d be happy.

Would you rather read only your favorite genre or every genre but your favorite?

omg. This questions is impossible to answer. What can I say…um… I guess i’ll have to go with every genre because it gives me more possibilities. But I would be really, really, really, really sad.

Would you rather read only e-books or physical books?

Ouf, an easy question to end this tag! I would OBVIOUSLY pick physical books because how can you not. they are so pretty. ♥

25 bookish facts tag

2015-08-19 09.33.51
Good morning planet earth, i’m doing the 25 bookish tag today. I have seen this tag going around booktube in the last couple of weeks and I decided I wanted to give it a go.

  1. I have a thing for orange book covers. I don’t know why, they just grab my attention.
  2. Jem Carstairs from TID is my #1 book boyfriend. He is perfect, but I also think we could be good together.
  3. I usually like book to movies adaptation, but I always find the book to be better.
  4. Well, expect for The Maze Runner. I found the movie much, much better than the book.
  5. Horror is my favorite genre, but it’s really hard to find a good horror YA Book.
  6. But, i’m open to all the genres.
  7. Bookstagram feels like home, my life changed so much since I joined two years ago.
  8. I spend so much time taking picture of my books.
  9. My favorite thing in a book is a good bromance. An epic friendship between two male characters will make my heart happy.
  10. I judge books by their cover, I know it a bad habit, but I think it’s the bookstagramer in me, I like pretty books.
  11. I always have a book with me, always. You just never know when you’ll be able to catch a couple of minutes of peace with your book.
  12. Books have saved my life so many times. I never told anybody, but without the escape that books bring me, I would probably be insane. Reality is a scary place without a little bit of fiction.
  13. My first bookish love was Harry Potter, but later on, I also became a Twilight fan. I was absolutely addicted. I tried rereading them two years ago, I couldn’t get into it and it made me sad. I also HATE the movies.
  14.  When someone asked me for book recommendations, I start with 2 questions : What genre are you in a mood for? and What are some of your favorite books?. I find it easier to figure out what book will be good for them if I know a little bit about them.
  15. And, i’m really good at book recommendation.
  16. Edgar Allan Poe is my favorite writer of all time. He is the reason why I started to write short horror stories.
  17. I love organizing my bookshelves. It makes me happy.
  18. Bubble bath, candles, coffee and a good book are the perfect mix.
  19. I have 1 bookish tattoo, it’s the deadly hallows symbol from Harry Potter.
  20. I’m a proud Ravenclaw.
  21. I’m sick of dystopian novels
  22. I used Goodreads daily, it’s my favorite site/app. It’s so useful for list of books I have read or want to read.
  23. I almost never give up on book, even if I don’t like it, because I feel that if I want to write a review, I must read the entire thing….but sometimes, I just can’t do it. Life is too short for bad books.
  24. My bookish goal is to find the most creepy book out there. The one that will keep me up all night and give me nightmares.
  25. My most reread books, other than the Harry Potter series, are City of bones and Aristotle and Dante discover the secrets of the universe.

25 bookish facts, ouff. That was actually pretty easy to come up with! hope you enjoyed this little tag.
