Review : Carry On by Rainbow Rowell

“Simon Snow is the worst chosen one who’s ever been chosen.

That’s what his roommate, Baz, says. And Baz might be evil and a vampire and a complete git, but he’s probably right.
Half the time, Simon can’t even make his wand work, and the other half, he sets something on fire. His mentor’s avoiding him, his girlfriend broke up with him, and there’s a magic-eating monster running around wearing Simon’s face. Baz would be having a field day with all this, if he were here—it’s their last year at the Watford School of Magicks, and Simon’s infuriating nemesis didn’t even bother to show up.
Carry On is a ghost story, a love story, a mystery and a melodrama. It has just as much kissing and talking as you’d expect from a Rainbow Rowell story—but far, far more monsters. ”

I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS BOOK.

oh god, Rainbow Rowell, what did you do to me?

I don’t even know where to start with this one. Carry On has been on my mind all the time for the past 3days. I couldn’t stop smiling (even when i am alone) because thinking about this book makes me so damn happy. the story is not that original, but it is sooo fun to follow. It’s fast-paced and entertaining. The romance is so fricking cute. I can’t even deal with these two! If i had this book in my “teenage reading fanfics” years, i’m pretty sure i would’ve died of happiness. It’s all i ever wanted, PLUS the incredible writing style of Rainbow Rowell. Baz and Simon are both so great. I love how Rowell creates her characters, they are always full of flaws that makes them relable and human (or vampire). I think that is one of the main reason with I love her and her books so much. i think my only problem was Agatha. I dislike her character so much, i just didn’t get her. This book has multiples POVs and i enjoyed getting to see more than just Simon’s POV. The ending was perfect, oh, what am i saying THE ENTIRE BOOK WAS PERFECT.

Carry On is going on my “favorite list”, It was so good and cute. All I want to do now is reread it. Baz and Simon are my new OTP.

Carry On : 5/5
